Christmas is a time for giving

Each year Craigs Investment Partners donates a total of $150,000 through its Christmas Giving initiative to a range of charitable groups across the country.
Northland Community Foundation connects the generosity of local Craigs branches in Kerikeri and Whangārei to worthy causes in their areas, this year passing on a total of $6000 to community groups selected by the staff at each branch.
This year, Northland Community Foundation passed on a total of $6000 from Craigs IP to the following recipients:
Kairos Connection Trust, Kerikeri – a food bank that offers a helping hand to people who are struggling to feed themselves and their families, and supports people to find help with budgeting and other social services.
Shirley Ayers, General Manager, said, “On behalf of Kairos Connection Trust, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Craigs for their generous gift. This will go towards our Kairos Foodbank and will pay for 10 family-sized food parcels designed to feed a family of 4 for 3 days.”
Mid North Women’s Refuge, Kaikohe – a support service providing a safe place for women and children experiencing family violence. The donation will go towards gifts or a special Christmas meal for people staying in the safehouse or seeking support.
Kerikeri SPCA – SPCA’s Kerikeri Centre works hard to ensure that animals in the Far North region are being well cared for and are in good health.
I have a Dream – I Have a Dream is a deeply localised kaupapa (programme) based in four schools in Whangārei. In 20 years, I Have A Dream in Aotearoa has helped over 2,000 kiwi kids transform their lives, futures, and communities.
Sistema Whangārei – The staff at Craigs Whangārei branch chose to give a $500 donation into the Sistema Whangarei – Pathways to the Future Fund. Read more about this donation here…
Northland Grassroots Fund – for the remainder of their gift, the staff at Craigs Whangarei made a donation to Northland Community Foundation’s Grassroots Fund, which supports charities and community groups who are working with families and young people across Northland.
